Pinnacle 380 Series Satin Brass Ajustable Glass to Glass Standard Hinge

PIN380
380 Pinnacle Ajustable Gls to Gls Hinge
  • Self-Centering - Swings: 90° in and 90° out
  • Glass Thickness: 3/8 to 1/2 inch
  • Solid Brass Construction
  • Safety Lock Cutout
  • The Pinnacle Adjustable Series of professional hinges is able to accommodate 3/8 to 1/2 inch (10 to 12 millimeter) tempered safety glass. A variety of two styles, Wall Mount and Glass-to-Glass types, gives design flexibility and allows the designer/installer to create custom enclosures limited only by their imagination. The Pinnacle Adjustable Series has taken our popular Pinnacle Series to a new level. Adjustment to accommodate the angle desired (up to 90°) is done after the door is installed. Once the door is hung, simply loosen the allen screws and turn the door to the desired closed position. By merely tightening the allen screws, your door will close precisely to 0°. The door can swing 90° inward and also 90° outward (adjusting angle from factory set position will reduce 90° swing in that direction). For doors pulling outwards only (using a clear door jamb), you can adjust the hinge to close 5° inside the shower area, thus having the door close snugly against the jamb.

Glass Cutout:

The cutout for the hinge allows some adjustment in door position after installation. The positioning of the cutout is subjective, but tempering facilities have minimum distances from the end of the glass to the notch. It is important that the hinge is centered in the cutout for the initial installation to have maxium adjustiability.

Maintenance Guidelines:

• Our hinges are greased at the factory for quiet and trouble-free operation. If there is any squeaking that occurs after installation, put a drop of "3 in 1 Oil" (also known as "household oil") on the white nylon washer that the hinge body pivots on. This washer is the component that acts as a buffer, so the body of the hinge doesn't pivot directly on the brass center block. This solution doesn't require the disassembly of the hinge.
Note: Do not use spray lubricant on these hinges. If the hinge has been disassembled, upon re-assembly, use white lithium grease to lubricate the interior mechanism.

Never use an abrasive cleaner on the hardware. Many of the components are coated with a clear lacquer that will be irreparably damaged if subjected to harsh, abrasive chemicals. Advise your customer that drying the hardware with a clean, soft towel on a daily basis is the best way to maintain the hardware. If mineral deposits build-up, mix a couple of drops of a mild liquid soap (such as Ivory or a similar product) into a cup of warm water. Using a soft, non-abrasive cloth, clean the hardware. Rinse thoroughly with clean, warm water and dry.
